Feb. 16, 2008 - Florida Raggedy Day

February 16, 2008 is the date for the gathering of Raggedy friends in Florida. It will be a time to visit with old friends, make some new ones, share Raggedy “stuff” and just have a good time.

We are planning to gather from 11:00 to 5:00 at the home of Ron and Sherry Rasmussen: 10212 58th Street, Pinellas Park, Florida. We are in the Tampa Bay area, so if you’re flying there are two airports nearby: Tampa International and St. Petersburg-Clearwater.

Cost will be $15.00 per person and will include a catered lunch, a ditty bag with souvenirs and snacks through the day. Carol Hamm, Barbara Dollar and Betty Balsalmo are already hard at work on those “goodie bags.”

Because of space limitations we will have to limit attendance to 50 people, so the first to sign up will be those accepted. Just email me (rsherry1@tampabay.rr.com) or phone (727-547-6857) and say how many.

If you wish to bring things to trade or sell, that will be fine. Also, pictures of your collection would be fun. If you want to bring little mementos to give to others that will be nice also!

If you plan to come and need information about motels nearby, let me know and I’ll send information along with directions on how to get to our house.
